What is actually processed
Server log files. Like any web server, our host records technical data for each request: IP address, date and time, the resource requested, HTTP status, browser and operating system. These logs are used solely to keep the service running and secure, and to detect malfunctions or attacks. Legal basis: legitimate interest in the security and availability of the service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). They are retained for a limited period and then deleted or anonymised by the hosting provider.
Technical cookies. Only cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to function, described in the Cookie Policy.
Correspondence. If you write to any address published on this site, we process the data you choose to include in your message in order to reply to you. Legal basis: performance of a task carried out in the public interest, namely the dissemination of publicly funded research (Art. 6(1)(e) GDPR), and your consent where applicable. Messages are kept only for as long as needed to deal with the matter and to comply with the record-keeping duties of a Slovenian public research institute.

The website is hosted by Raiola Networks S.L. (Lugo, Spain), acting as a data processor under a contract compliant with Art. 28 GDPR. Servers are located within the European Union, so no transfers of personal data outside the EEA take place.
Links to social media
Some pages link out to Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook. These are ordinary links: nothing is loaded from those platforms while you browse this site, and they receive no data about you unless you actively click through. Once you do, their own privacy policies apply.
Your rights
You have the right to request access to your personal data, and its rectification, erasure or restriction of processing; to object to processing based on legitimate interest or public task; and to data portability where applicable. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.
